About Me
Basic Bio

The award-winning YA romance author of THE ZONE series and the SECOND CHANCES series, Patricia B. Tighe lives in West Texas with her husband and dogs. She’s a sucker for romance and loves to put her characters in sticky situations to see what happens. When she’s not writing, she eats way too much pizza, drinks way too much coffee, and watches way too much NFL football.

Slightly Longer Version

I'm not the writer who's been writing for as long as she can remember. In fact, I didn't start writing fiction until I was almost thirty. But, I've always been a reader. Which, of course, is one of the basic requirements for being a writer. I've read everything from horse novels and spy thrillers to historical romance and fantasy sagas—and lots in between. There's something wondrous about picking up a book and entering a new world with new adventures. And I don't plan on stopping any time soon.

When I'm not reading, I hang out with my husband and dogs, plus my grown kids whenever I get the chance. In the fall I spend a lot of time yelling at my TV while watching football. I'm also addicted to British TV shows. Downton Abbey, anyone?

Oh, yeah. And I write. Kissing books. Or at least books that include kissing. Hope you enjoy them!

My third birthday

I still love cake. And cookies. And anything with dark chocolate.

I read, therefore, I am?

When taking a break at a writing retreat, many writers will do this . . .

This is one of my favorite mugs. And, of course, I adhere to its motto.

Cuddle time

Cuddle time

Love my fur babies! We have an elderly pound puppy and a seven-month-old labradoodle. They keep us hopping.

A Texas beach

A Texas beach

This may seem really weird, but I love the ocean, I just don't like swimming in it. I love the waves crashing on shore and the birds swooping down to catch fish, but getting in there—not so much. There're lots of odd things in the ocean, many of which are alive.
