Fall Reading Wrap-Up

With the holidays finally over, I’m trying to catch up with my blog posts, and it’s time for the Fall reading wrap-up. One thing became clear as I looked back over the list—I absolutely love Kasie West’s YA romances. I’m not completely sure what it is, except that I’m happy during the reading and after it’s over. The characters are fun and not overly angsty. Anyway, here’s the list in order of books read.

  1. Doon by Carey Corp & Lorie Langdon—YA fantasy

  2. On the Fence by Kasie West—YA romance

  3. The Inn at Rose Harbor by Debbie Macomber—women’s fiction

  4. A Curious Beginning by Deanna Raybourn—historical mystery

  5. The Heart of Betrayal (The Remnant Chronicles, #2) by Mary E. Pearson—YA fantasy

  6. The Distance Between Us by Kasie West—YA romance

  7. Catch a Falling Heiress (An American Heiress in London, #3) by Laura Lee Guhrke—historical romance

  8. The Empress Game by Rhonda Mason—science fiction, space opera

  9. The Queen (The Selection, #0.4) by Kiera Cass—YA dystopian novella

  10. Rivals in the City (The Agency, #4) by Y.S. Lee—YA historical mystery

  11. Destined for Doon (Doon, #2) by Carey Corp & Lorie Langdon—YA fantasy

  12. In Between (A Katie Parker Production, #1) by Jenny B. Jones—YA contemporary

  13. The Fill-in Boyfriend by Kasie West—YA romance

  14. Dodger by Terry Pratchett—YA historical fantasy

  15. Rival Love (Rival Love, #1) by Natalie Decker—YA romance

  16. Cress (The Lunar Chronicles, #3) by Marissa Meyer—YA fantasy (I re-read this book in preparation for Winter!)

  17. Winter (The Lunar Chronicles, #4) by Marissa Meyer—YA fantasy

Looks like I mostly read young adult books during the fall. There’s nothing wrong with that, but I like to switch it up now and then, so I plan to keep that in mind when I pick books to read this winter. So which book was my favorite? WINTER by Marissa Meyer. It wins because of being the end of a series that I’ve enjoyed hugely. Still, I have a fondness for ON THE FENCE by Kasie West and will probably end up re-reading that book at some point.

Have you read any of these? If so, which was your favorite?
