YASH Post for Team Teal!

Welcome to YA Scavenger Hunt! This bi-annual event was first organized by author Colleen Houck as a way to give readers a chance to gain access to exclusive bonus material from their favorite authors...and a chance to win some awesome prizes! At this hunt, you not only get access to exclusive content from each author, you also get a clue for the hunt. Add up the clues, and you can enter for our prize—one lucky winner will receive one book from each author on the hunt in my team! But play fast: this contest (and all the exclusive bonus material) will only be online from noon Pacific Time March 29 until noon Pacific Time April 3!

Go to the YA Scavenger Hunt page to find out all about the hunt. There are nine contests going on simultaneously, and you can enter one or all! I am a part of the TEAL TEAM—but there is also a red team, an orange team, a gold team, a green team, a blue team, a silver team, a purple team, and a pink team for a chance to win a whole different set of books! If you'd like to find out more about the hunt, see links to all the authors participating, and see the full list of prizes up for grabs, go to the YA Scavenger Hunt page.

Directions: Below, you'll notice that I've hidden my favorite number. Collect the favorite numbers of all the authors on the teal team, and then add them up (don't worry, you can use a calculator!).

Entry Form: Once you've added up all the numbers, make sure you fill out the form here to officially qualify for the grand prize. Only entries that have the correct number will qualify.

Rules: Open internationally, anyone below the age of 18 should have a parent or guardian's permission to enter. To be eligible for the grand prize, you must submit the completed entry form by Sunday, April 3, at noon Pacific Time. Entries sent without the correct number or without contact information will not be considered.

Today, I'm excited to host Krystal Wade on my website for the YA Scavenger Hunt! Here's her bio:

Krystal Wade is happily married to the love of her life (don't gag) and raising three beautiful children in the gorgeous state of Virginia. They live just outside Washington, D.C., and every day she wakes up to find herself stuck in traffic trying to get there. The horrid commute gives Krystal plenty of time to zone out and think about her characters in full, brilliant details (she's a safe driver; don't worry). Stories give her a way to forget about the sometimes smelly strangers sitting next to her on the fifty mile trek into town (she picks up hitchhikers every day. True story. Check out if you don't believe us). Krystal has been a part of organized hitchhiking for nearly fifteen years, but that's just one small aspect of her oh-so-large life. When she's not working, commuting, or chasing after her three children (four if you count the man), you can usually find Krystal outside talking to her chickens like they're the cutest things in the world (they are), or training her amazing dogs how to herd said chickens (which they love), or curled up on the sofa with a good book (why can't that be 100% of the time?).

For more information, check out Krystal's author website or find out more about her book here! P.S. I heard that one day she picked up as many as 17 hitchhikers! But maybe that was an exaggeration.

"To cure fear, you must use fear."

Rose Briar claims no responsibility for the act that led to her imprisonment in an asylum. She wants to escape, until terrifying nightmares make her question her sanity and reach out to her doctor. He’s understanding and caring in ways her parents never have been, but as her walls tumble down and Rose admits fault, a fellow patient warns her to stop the medications. Phillip believes the doctor is evil and they’ll never make it out of the facility alive. Trusting him might be just the thing to save her. Or it might prove the asylum is exactly where she needs to be.

Check out Krystal's bonus content! It's a video of book trailers made by students for ASLEEP!

And don't forget to enter the contest for a chance to win a ton of signed books by me, Krystal Wade, and more! Check out all these books on TEAM TEAL.

To enter, you need to write down my favorite number, find all the other numbers on TEAM TEAL, add them up, and you’ll have the secret code to enter for the grand prize!

Thank you so much for visiting my website! I'd love to know if you've entered YASH before. Let me know in the comments. Also, while you’re here, don’t forget to enter the rafflecopter BONUS contest I am running exclusively during the YA Scavenger Hunt. I'm giving away an ebook copy of book two in The Zone series, LIFE IN THE LUCKY ZONE, which releases on April 5! You must be 16 years or older, or have the permission of a guardian to enter.
