Winter Reading Wrap-Up

Yeah, you read that right. Winter. I totally forgot to post my winter reading list. The past couple of months have been crazy busy. I had book promotion to do and also spent two weeks in Ireland on vacation. Rough, I know.

Anyway, here it is. Just in time, because next week summer will officially start and I’ll need to do my spring reading wrap-up! Ha!

  1. The Aeronaut’s Windlass (The Cinder Spires #1) by Jim Butcher—Steampunk

  2. Manners & Mutiny (Finishing School #4) by Gail Carriger—YA steampunk

  3. The Diabolical Miss Hyde (Electric Empire #1) by Viola Carr—Steampunk

  4. A School for Unusual Girls (Stranje House #1) by Kathleen Baldwin—YA historical

  5. Shades of Doon (Doon #3) by Carey Corp and Lorie Langdon—YA fantasy

  6. The Inventor’s Secret (#1) by Andrea Cremer—YA steampunk

  7. A Little Something Different by Sandy Hall—YA contemporary romance

  8. Eleven Scandals to Start to Win a Duke’s Heart (Love by Numbers #3) by Sarah MacLean—Historical romance

  9. My American Duchess by Eloisa James—Historical romance

  10. The Cuckoo’s Calling (Cormoran Strike #1) by Robert Galbraith—Crime

  11. The Son of Neptune (The Heroes of Olympus #2) by Rick Riordan—YA fantasy

  12. In a World Just Right by Jen Brooks—YA fantasy

  13. The Color of Magic (Discworld #1) by Terry Brooks—Fantasy

So, to evaluate. It looks like I read more steampunk books than I thought. I hadn’t really

paid much attention to what I was reading, but just picked up whatever I was in the mood for. And apparently that was steampunk. (Of course, when am I not in the mood for steampunk?) Also, I only read one YA contemporary romance, which kind of surprised me. At least most of the books had romance of some form in their story lines.

And my favorite? That would have to be Gail Carriger’s MANNERS & MUTINY. I always have a soft spot for the end of a series, and this one was full of Carriger’s signature humor and adventure. I highly recommend the Finishing School young adult steampunk series.

Stay tuned next week for my spring wrap-up!
