Update Wednesday
Happy National Book Lover's Day! I don't know who thinks up these national whatever days, but I can seriously get behind this one. In fact, here are a few gifs that showcase my feelings about books. :D The sad thing is that I haven't had a lot of reading time lately because I've been busy writing my sequel to ABOUT LAST SUMMER. I did finish a historical romance this week since I was listening to the audiobook in the car on the way home from the beach. But other than that I ha

Summer Update
Hey there, everybody! Hope you've been having a wonderful summer. Mine has been super busy with traveling and writing. I'm currently at the beach near Corpus Christi, TX, being invigorated by the sound of the surf and time with friends. At the beginning of July I spent two weeks in central Texas at a lake house. So there's been some serious laziness going on. The good news is that I'm making headway on my work in progress. I've never been a really fast writer, but I'm challen

Where did the summer go?
Has anybody else had a super busy summer? Mine has been filled with travel, reading, and writing. My one bit of news is that the next book in The Zone series, LIFE IN THE DANGER ZONE, is to be released in October. So I hope I'll have a new cover to show off sometime in the next month or so. Update Wednesday
Hey guys! Sorry it's been a couple of weeks since I last posted. Life happened. I had a funeral the same day as LIFE IN THE LUCKY ZONE released, so things were stressful for a while. And then I attended a conference with my husband. Anyway, thank you to all you lovely people who participated in my blog tour and giveaway, and who've picked up a copy of the new book. I appreciate you all. As far as writing goes, I recently read through my current work in progress, which I hadn'

Update Wednesday!
Hey, guys! I was out of town for five days this past week, so everything has gone a little wacky. On the plus side, I finished reading WINTER by Marissa Meyer and thoroughly enjoyed it. On the minus side, I only wrote 2,785 words, a big drop from last week. As I tried to get back into writing when I returned, I realized the plot of my work in progress had changed—common for me while drafting—and I needed to reevaluate where the book was going. That, of course, has slowed me d

Update Wednesday
Anyone else feeling stressed over Christmas? Well, not stressed exactly, but just knowing how much there is to do, I've begun to wonder if I can actually get it all done. And the answer is, of course, no. Ha! So perhaps some reevaluation is in order. On to the Update. I started WINTER by Marissa Meyer last week and am reading it slowly, partly because I'm so busy and partly because I want it to last. I've enjoyed this series and its characters so much that I'm determined to s
